Business analysis consulting in Malaysia

Understand the problem before you invest in technology. We map how your business actually works today, find where time and accuracy are lost, and define the solution worth building.

Based in Selangor, Malaysia — serving Malaysia & Singapore

The problem

Most failed systems were built correctly. They just solved the wrong problem.

A dashboard nobody opens. An automation that gets bypassed. A system the team works around rather than with. These rarely fail on technical quality — they fail because the requirement was assumed rather than established.

Our approach

Requirements first. Build second.

We start with the people doing the work. What takes longest, where the rework happens, which numbers get argued about in meetings. Only then do we recommend a solution — and sometimes the answer is a better spreadsheet rather than a new system.

What we deliver

Business analysis services

Requirements gathering

Structured interviews and workshops that turn "we need better reporting" into specific, testable requirements your team agrees on.

Process mapping

Current-state maps showing every step, handoff and delay — usually the first time a business sees its own process end to end.

Gap analysis

The measured distance between where you are and where you want to be, translated into a prioritised backlog.

KPI definition

Agreeing what gets measured, how it's calculated and who owns it — before anyone builds a dashboard around it.

Process redesign

A future-state design that removes steps rather than automating them, then automates what genuinely remains.

Requirements documentation

BRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria your internal team or any vendor can build from.

Where it leads

Analysis is the start, not the deliverable

Most engagements continue into the build. These are the routes analysis usually points toward:

Reporting & dashboards

When the problem is visibility, the answer is usually a properly modelled Power BI report.

Power BI consulting

Process automation

When the problem is repetition, workflows and approvals move into Power Automate.

Process automation

Digital solutions

When the problem is how information gets collected or presented, a portal or website closes the gap.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does a business analyst actually do?

A business analyst works out what a business actually needs before anything is built. That means interviewing the people doing the work, mapping the current process, identifying where time and accuracy are lost, and writing requirements a developer or consultant can build from. The output is a documented understanding of the problem, not a piece of software.

Do I need business analysis if I already know what I want?

Not always. If your requirement is clear and contained, we can go straight to building. Business analysis earns its place when several teams are involved, when the process has grown organically over years, or when a previous system was built and never adopted.

How long does a business analysis engagement take?

A focused process review typically takes one to two weeks. A full current-state to future-state redesign across several teams runs three to six weeks depending on stakeholder availability.

What do I receive at the end?

Process maps, a gap analysis, documented requirements or user stories, and a prioritised recommendation. The documentation is yours — you can build from it with us, with your internal IT team, or with another vendor.

Do you work with businesses outside Malaysia?

Yes. Business analysis work is delivered remotely through video calls and shared documentation, which makes it straightforward to support Singapore-based clients alongside Malaysian ones.

Not sure whether you need analysis or just a build?

That's exactly what the free consultation is for. Describe the process that frustrates you and we'll tell you honestly which one you need.
